The Dryden Fire Service is out with some reminders for the upcoming long weekend.
Information Officer Reagan Breeze says that it’s law for all homes, cottages, cabins and RV’s to have working smoke alarms on every storey and outside all sleeping areas.
Breeze adds its important to not leave barbecues and fires unattended.
He says residents should check with the Fire Service, municipality or Ministry of Natural Resources to determine open air burning regulations.
