Dryden Fire Service say they responded to a chimney fire on Thursday at a house on Thunder Lake.
Firefighters say they were dispatched around noon after a 911 call came from a resident who could see smoke and hear flames above the main floor fireplace insert.
Once crews arrived they determined heavy smoke from the fire place and started working on opening the ceiling area to extinguish the fire around the chimney.
The three residents were outside when crews arrived and firefighters had troubles during this incident due to a very slick driveway.
Two Pumpers, one rescue vehicle, two tankers, two incident commanders and two OPP personnel responded to the incident for a total of 21 personnel.
Dryden Fire Service reminds its citizens that working Smoke Alarms save lives.
