A busy 24-hours for the Dryden Fire Service.
Firefighters were called to a Grand Trunk Avenue home Wednesday night for a basement room fire.
Smoke filled the basement and the blaze was contained to the bathroom area.
The family was moved to a local hotel for the night.
Firefighters were also called to a Duke Street apartment complex early this morning. (Thursday)
Smoke filled the main floor corridor and crews found a pot smoking on the stove in one of the rooms.
The occupant was woken up and removed without injuries.
The Dryden Fire Service also had to deal with a false alarm this morning.
