Another reminder to make sure you have a working smoke alarm in your home.
On Tuesday, the Dryden Fire Service responded to a call of heavy smoke at a local residence.
Upon arrival, crews noticed a strong smell of smoke, and using a Thermal Imaging Camera, they were able to find a fire burning in the attic.
Firefighters were on scene for about two hours, and the home received extensive smoke damage.
All the residents were able to get out before hand, and the cause of the blaze was from lighting equipment in place during construction.
