The City of Dryden is taking a major step to address recreation needs and concerns.
A Recreation Advisory Committee is being formed and will include seven community members and one councillor.
Community and Development Services Manager Bob Cunningham says its an important move.
Cunningham says they need the feedback of user groups as they are the ones that know what’s needed.
Members would represent users of the ball diamonds, soccer fields, arena, pool, fitness and seniors groups.
Cunningham says the Committee will have input on future decisions and possible opportunities.
Cunningham notes they will also be able to investigate various means of obtaining funds for improvements through donations and fundraising initiatives.
He notes the Committee can be expanded if need be.
