Teacher Dispute Continues To Dominate Queen’s Park

The opposition continues to hammer away at the Liberal government over the labour difficulties between the province and teachers.
MPP Garfield Dunlop says the government is laying all blame on local boards, yet they have no room to bargain.
Dunlop says even if local boards strike an agreement, it’s all for not, as a central one is necessary.
He is calling on Premier Kathleen Wynne to fire Education Minister Liz Sandles.
Wynne is defending her government’s response to the ongoing dispute.
She says the collective bargaining system will get deals done for both elementary and high schools teachers.
Wynne also calls the process the best system we have for a fair and equitable deal.
