Local nurses are celebrating the opportunity to work and play here at home.
The opportunity of regional training and instruction is one of the main themes being delivered by the health care providers on this National Nursing Week.
Dryden nurses comment it’s becoming a lot easier to earn a profession in the field without leaving the north.
Most credit goes to the establishment of the Practical Nurses program launched several years ago by Confederation College and Darleen Furlong.
Others are crediting the creation of the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.
Tammy Piche says it’s great work here at home and be able to come to the aid of your friends and family.
