We all know the Dryden area has a wealth of musical talent, but it has been one man responsible for getting everyone together over the years.
Carl Bleich was on hand Wednesday night at the 13th Annual Music in Motion concert to pass over the latest donation of $3,700 for the DHS Music Association.
Bleich has organized 20-shows over the years and says it got started when he learned his son’s tuba cost $6,000 to replace.
That’s when he turned to the newly built Centre.
Bleich says he talked to Manager John Carlucci about the cost to rent the building, he hired a sound and lighting guy, and put together his first concert.
From there the community has been entertained by Kickin’ Country and Coming Together and more than $69,000 has been raised for new instruments.
With thousands of hours of organizing under his belt, Bleich has stated he’s considering his future.
Music in Motion once again was a huge success Wednesday thanks to the work of the music program at DHS and the fine arts program at Open Roads.
