The Dryden Hospital will not have to worry about cutting services due to a new contract agreement with nurses.
Ontario nurses are now the highest paid in the country, making a maximum of 33.75 per hour, after a new deal was reached last week with the province.
Dryden Hospital Assistant Executive Director Wade Petranik says a surplus of 248-thousand dollars means the hospital will be able to cover the settlement.
Petranik says the contract will mean about 100-thousand dollars will be spent each year over the next three years.
