Health Care Professional Shortage

How severe is the shortage of health care professionals across Ontario?
Provincial Health Councils have received funding from the Federal Government to conduct a survey to find out.
Pat Stitt is a health planner for the Northwest District Health Council.
Stitt says a number of issues will be examined including how to recruit and retain health care professionals.
However, the survey will not include doctors because the shortage of physicians has already been well documented.
She says the regional council is planning to spend over 300-thousand dollars on the survey.
