Registration is open for a two day gathering focusing on regional knowledge and help in relation to violence against women.

The VAW conference takes place at the Best Western Plus in Dryden from October 17th to 18th.

Spokesperson Jennifer Chamberlain says there will be a number of keynote speakers.

Chamberlain says the conference is a great opportunity for new social workers in the area who may not be aware of the services that are available across the region.

A Paint Party is also being planned.

The last day to register is October 5th and the cost is only $50 for both days. (excluding Paint Party: $30. Capped at 40 participants)
