New Look For Regional Indigenous Fund

The Nishnawbe Aski Development Fund is taking a new direction for the future.

The organization has launched a branding strategy including a new name, logo and website.

It will now be known as the NADF, with a focus on supporting aboriginal prosperity.

Chair Arlene Meekis says the goal is to establish its own specialist role and services as an Aboriginal Financial Institution in order to build a stronger aboriginal business community and compete with banks and credit unions.

Executive Director Brian Davey says NADF products and services are specifically designed by and for aboriginal people, businesses and communities at all stages of their life, and they provide various doorways to achieve prosperity.

The new logo illustrates the circle of life, the medicine wheel and Mother Earth.

It includes a circle that symbolizes that all things in life are interconnected.
