The City’s Economic Diversification Advisory Committee is
looking at the posibility of implementing a bed tax.
The minimal fee could bring in up to $70,000 annually
based on previous occupancy rates in Dryden Hotel and Motels.
Committee Chair Nick Beyak says the idea is to spend the money on promoting Dryden and the
services available in the City.
The City’s Economic Development Officer is trying to arrange a meeting
with local Hotel and Motel owners to discuss the proposal.
