Kenora MP Discusses Troops in Afghanistan

Kenora Liberal MP Roger Valley admits Canada’s role in Afghanistan is a
sensitive issue and notes more debate is needed in Parliament.
The NDP recently approved a policy calling on the Government to pull
our troops out of the Country.
Valley says Canada has a role to play and removing our soldiers is not that easy.
Valley says the Government needs to clearly define Canada’s role
and goals in Afghanistan.
Parliament recently endorsed a vote to extend our military mission to
2009 and some critics stress our presence is needed to bring peace to the
country.
