The City of Dryden and Kapuskasing have joined forces in hopes of securing a solar park in Dryden.
Chief Administrative Officer Andre Larabie says a new Corporation has been created and they will submit an application to the province early next year.
Larabie they made a similar application this year but were turned down.
He notes the shares will be a 50-50 split between the two communities, and it could result in roughly 6-thousand dollars in yearly revenue for Dryden.
Larabie says it’s a win-win deal for the community.
The solar park would be located near the Airport and the City wouldn’t be required to pay anything.
