Dryden Losing its City Manager

Arie Hoogenboom is leaving Municipal office.
Dryden Council accepted the retirement notice of the City Manager at a Special meeting this morning. (Monday)
Hoogenboom will retire when his current contract expires on May 5th, 2011.
Mayor Anne Krassilowsky says Hoognboom helped guide the City through extremely challenging fiscal times.
Krassilowsky adds he has been an effective and valuable leader.
Hoogenboom has 34-years of municipal service experience, including 8-and-a-half as Dryden City Manager.
He has also served as a Director with the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association and is a sitting member with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine Board of Directors.
Hoogenboom has indicated that he’s willing to stay past May 5th, if Council has difficulty finding a replacement.
Hoogenboom is out of Town and is not available for comment at this time.
