Dryden Man Fined For Not Paying Taxes

A Dryden man has been ordered to pay over $400,000 after
pleading guilty to wilfully evading the payment of Federal taxes over a
4-year period.
Canada Revenue Agency says Guy Savage, a former Chief Administrative
Officer for Sturgeon Falls, failed to report income from 1998 to 2002.
An Ontario Court Judge fined Savage $129,000, however it was pushed to $433,000 due to the
outstanding tax bill, fine and accumulated interest.
He has 1-year to pay.
