Dryden Mayor Craig Nuttall is hoping the Federal response to the forest fire crisis in Northwestern Ontario is a “wake-up call” for Provincial officials.
Nuttall is disappointed that no one from the Province has bothered to visit the effected area and is equally upset that Kenora-Rainy River MPP Howard Hampton hasn’t made an appearance.
Nuttall praised the Federal Government Wednesday after FedNor Minister Tony Clement and Kenora MP Greg Rickford met with fire officials and evacuees.
Nuttall is also praising local officials for their work in this emergency.
He says its time for Provincial members to visit the North to witness the magnitude of the forest fire crisis.
