The Mayor of Dryden says getting through 2020 was a true team effort.
Greg Wilson says everyone stepped up during difficult times.
“Councillors, staff and fellow Drydenites. I want to express how pleased I am, and thankful for, the men and the women in administration operations, meaning all the departments, and of course on Council who contributed to the success of the Cities goals this year.”
Wilson says they were able to finish with a fair and balanced budget despite being thrown a “COVID Curveball”.
He adds everyone stuck to the financial recovery plan and the goals that were set out in previous years.
Wilson notes the pandemic did present some challenges.
“I want to thank the citizens who have been so understanding when inconvenienced by our reduced hours of operation in certain cases. This Council and administration work hard to deliver the best services possible each year and we recognize that many of you have experienced significant reductions in personal income.”
