The Martin Government has promised to rebate Cities the GST they pay every year and Mayor’s across the Region couldn’t be happier.
In Dryden, Officials believe that will result in an extra $250,000, which Mayor Anne Krassilowsky says will help improve severely underfunded infrastructure.
However, Krassilowsky hopes Ottawa reconsiders and writes Municipalities a cheque from the gas tax revenue, instead of negotiating with local leaders.
