Domtar has pushed back the opening of the Dryden Pulp Mill.
The shutdown has been extended another 3-weeks, resulting in a planned opening, somewhere in the neighbourhood of July 24th.
Company Spokesperson Bonnie Skeene says customer demand and managing inventory levels are behind the extended shutdown.
Skeene says the extended shutdown could also impact the opening of the Ear Falls Sawmill, however, the exact impact isn’t known yet.
Skeene notes operations in the bush are still scheduled to resume on June 22nd.
Some 200-workers in harvesting, hauling, road construction and maintenance will be back to work.
