Man Attacks OPP Officer After Starting Fire

A makeshift torch was used to start a large grass fire in Red Lake.
OPP were called to the fire behind the Medical Clinic on June 7th.
Officers noticed a man purposely setting the blaze and ordered him to stop.
The man didn’t take to kindly to the request, throwing a tire rim and a rusty chain at police, striking one officer.
The accused then fled but was later nabbed.
Conrad Lawson faces several charges including assault.
No permanent damage was caused to the property.
