No major injuries have been reported as a result of a plane crash in the far north.
A private aircraft registered in the name of Wilson’s Business Solutions in Dryden went down near Landsdowne House around noon on Tuesday.
The plane was en route from Fort Hope to Landsdowne House at the time.
Peter Hildebrand from the Transportation Safety Board says they are currently looking into the incident.
Hildebrand says the aircraft had some sort of engine problems and tried to make an emergency landing.
He notes two people were on the flight, the pilot and a passenger.
Officials say those on board were prepared as they had a fire going, they had food and water and they had a tent set up.
A Hercules aircraft from 17 Wing Winnipeg spotted the plane while on a training run.
A Ministry of Natural Resources helicopter rescued the two.
