The Dryden Police Service handed out several commendation awards last night to civilian and uniformed staff as well as members of the public.
Chief Shayne MacKinnon says a number of individuals are involved in keeping the Police Service strong in our community.
Bob Gould was honoured for his time with the Police Services Board, while Ken Lovenuk was recognized for 30-years of service.
MacKinnon says the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board and the City of Dryden received special praise for establishing a Youth Centre at the High School.
Service Awards were also handed out to Heather Hampton, James Oltsher, Janet Hartley and Lisa Stanchuk.
