The Dryden Police Service paid tribute to its officers and retirees
Thursday at a special ceremony at the Community Auditorium.
Chief Shayne MacKinnon says the current force has a great mix of
veterans and newcomers and he believes its one of the strongest in Ontario.
MacKinnon thanked his force for their work in the community.
He notes this spring was one of the busiest on record and officers and
civilian staff handled the situation with true professionalism.
The Police service also awarded ‘Police Partner’ certificates to DMTS
and Big Brothers and Sisters of the Patricia Region.
MacKinnon says the 2-groups play an important role in community policing.
