Dryden Police have laid child luring charges against a 23-year-old man after he allegedly engaged in sexual discussions with a 14-year-old female over the computer.
Police say a concerned parent alerted police after reviewing the “chat” between the 2-individuals.
Detective Sergeant Ann Tkachyk says they have investigated similar cases, noting parents must be extra vigilant when kids log onto the computer.
Tkachyk says Police consider this a very serious crime.
If found guilty, the accused could face 10-years jail time.
Tkachyk notes if parents find questionable material involving their child on the internet, they should bring it to Police.
No name has released.
