The Dryden Police Service is launching a new service.
“T 911” is the name of the service, and allows registered individuals to text 911 instead of making a call.
Interim Police Chief Derek West says this will help those who are deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired.
Those who sign-up will be able to speak with a dispatcher via text messaging.
