The Dryden Police Service is making sure the public is aware of the rules once marijuana becomes legal on October 17th.
Police say people can possess up to a limit of 30 grams and individuals can grow up to four marijuana plants per residence.
They also say the minimum age to use, purchase or possess the drug is 19 years of age and it will not be used in public places and workplaces.
Police also remind residents that drug-impaired driving is a criminal offence and there will be a zero-tolerance policy for young, novice and commercial drivers.
Officers will be trained to detect drug-impaired driving and if caught people could face a fine, criminal charge or even jail time.
