Two significant promotions in the ranks of the Dryden Police Service.
Ann Tkachyk was sworn in as Inspector and Janet Kaus Sergeant at a special ceremony Thursday night.
Tkachyk calls the appointment an honour, stressing she loves this community.
She says her goal is to ensure they have a strong organization and will focus on education and training.
Tkachyk adds she will take on more public service and be more available to staff.
Kaus also calls her promotion an honour saying the Sergeant position is one way she can give back to the community and the Police Service.
Kaus says her priority is working with Inspector Ann Tkachyk and Chief Doug Palson to ensure the needs of the community are being met.
She says the Police Service has put a lot of faith in her.
Certificates of Commendation went to Constables Paul Howarth and Terry Menard.
Letters of Appreciation were handed out to Sergeant Scott Silver and Constable Jared Olsen for their work in two emergency calls.
Police Exemplary Service Medals were handed out to Constable Kevin Hildebrand and Constable Robert Wright.
Sergeant Dale Engstrom and Sergeant Scott Silver were also honoured for their years of service.
