Dryden Police Service Welcomes New Chief Of Police

A changing of the guard at the Dryden Police Service.

Doug Palson has been sworn in as the new Chief of Police.

Board Chair Peter Andrusco says Palson is a forward thinking individual.

Andrusco adds he has a strong background in all facets of policing that they feel is important for the community.

He says his experience, knowledge, management, style and enthusiasm for policing will be a great asset.

Palson comes to Dryden with extensive experience in Manitoba with the Brandon Police Service and as Chief of the Dakota Ojibway Police Service.

Andrusco adds they were fortunate to have Derek West filling the void, noting his seven months away from his job in Thunder Bay was valued and appreciated.
