Domtar is apologizing for an odour at the Dryden Mill that prompted numerous complaints from nearby residents.
Bonnie Skene says some concentrated odour was released Tuesday morning around 9:00 when a piece of equipment didn’t work as expected.
She says it lasted about 30-seconds and occurred a couple of times during a five minute period.
Skene notes wind carried the smoke into town.
She stresses the problem was fixed as quickly as possible.
A number of residents at 10 Victoria contacted the CKDR Newsroom and the Mill complaining of illness due to the odour.
