Dryden Police are reporting a couple bear sightings in the community.
Police say one sighting took place on September 7th in the Pronger Park and Thunder Drive area and another on September 17th in the Aubrey Road area.
Dryden Police say bear sightings are more common this time of year and have provided some tips.
Call 911 if a bear poses an immediate threat to your safety or enters a school yard when school is in session, tries to enter a house, wanders into a public gathering, kills livestock or pets or if it is stalking someone.
For non-emergencies you are asked to all the Bear Wise reporting line 1-866-514-2327 or your local MNRD District Office.
This includes actions like roaming around and checking garbage cans, breaking into sheds where food is stored, in a tree, pulling down a bird feeder, knocking over a barbecue or moving through a backyard but not lingering.
