Dryden Red Cross To Hire Community Services Coordinator

A recent study determined a number of needs within New Osnaburgh First Nation including a lack of sanitation and housing, poor food security and transportation issues.
The Canadian Red Cross is hoping to address some of these needs with the hiring of a new Community Services Coordinator.
Branch Manager Shana Hansson says they have received Ontario Trillium funding to expand the program.
Hansson says the individual will be meeting with community members and leadership to determine what programming could benefit the community.
She adds the Red Cross does this kind of work in several countries but stresses this is the first time it’s been done in Canada.
