The continued fundraising efforts by Dryden’s Marquee Miller has paid off for the Dryden Regional Health Centre.
Miller was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show in October and explained her goal to bring a Cuddle Cot to the hospital to improve bereavement services.
A Cuddle Cot keeps a stillborn baby cool so families can form a bond with their baby and help with their grieving process.
Her goal was to raise 35 hundred dollars and with the support of the community she surpassed that goal and was able to purchase 3 cuddle cots.
One will be at the Dryden Regional Health Centre, one will be at the Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre and another at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital.
A presentation of the Cuddle Cot was held at the Dryden Hospital on Wednesday.
