Dryden’s Roly Miles is being recognized for his Police Pistol Combat shooting skills.
Miles competed in the Lake of the Woods Annual Match in Dryden and received the Distinguished Medal, which is the 7th ever awarded worldwide.
During the same match, he received another medal for a semi-automatic.
Miles trains minimum twice, but sometimes 3-4 times per week, not including weekend matches.
Miles says receiving the medal is a great accomplishment, adding he knew was obtainable but didn’t realize how quick he could achieve it.
This year the Dryden Rifle and Pistol Club will be hosting the Canadian Provincial Championships from August 1st to 3rd.
