A financial shot in the arm for the local ‘Making Connections for Children and Youth’ organization.
The Dryden Rotary Club has donated 10-thousand dollars to help in on-going operations.
The group, formerly known as the Mayor’s Committee for Children and Youth, helps disadvantaged youth take part in various recreational activities.
Families in a tough financial situation can sign their child up for sports, swimming, drama, other lessons as well as allow them to participate in other community activities.
Rotary Spokesperson Rena Madden says their work fits the Rotary mandate and notes a majority of the funds come from Rotary Radio Bingo on CKDR.
