A young Dryden woman is lacing up her shoes and hitting the pavement for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Karly Tardiff is spending the summer preparing for the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service Half Marathon.
Although the event is a popular one as hundreds from this area flock to the City to compete, Karly’s story is a bit different.
She just got hooked on running and gained a new interest in the sport at a competitive level.
Her first race was the Manitoba Marathon last month where she crossed the finish line in under 1-hour and 49-minutes.
