The Safeway store in Dryden is not going to be sold as part of Sobeys takeover of Canada Safeway.
Sobeys spokesperson Andrew Walker says a government regulator has approved the takeover, but ordered Sobeys to sell 23 stores across the country.
The stores in Kenora, Fort Frances and the three in Thunder Bay aren’t impacted as well.
There are no stores in Ontario up for sale.
The $5.8-billion deal is expected to be finalized in early November.
