Dryden Staff Continue to Work on Budget

Some headway is being made on finalizing the 2012 City of Dryden budget.
That’s according to Treasurer Linda McNaughton.
McNaughton says the operating budget still sits with a $1.5-million deficit.
The capital budget has been reduced by nearly $7-million.
McNaughton stresses the capital budget has been cut to “bare bones”.
She says she cut any more without impacting service levels.
A total of 38 out of 69 capital projects remain on the fourth draft of the budget.
McNaughton says staff will continue to work on the fiscal document this week and another update is expected at next Monday’s Council meeting.
