Dryden Ups Taxation Projection To $2.2-Million

The latest financial information released by the City of Dryden shows an additional $2.2-million will have to be collected through taxation.
The number takes into account previous projections, $1.2-million in capital debentures, the $2.8-million stranded Dryden Mobility deficit, and the fallout from the low Dryden Mill assessment.
Treasurer Adrianne Bodnarchuk says there’s still a number of unknowns.
Dryden Council still hasn’t made a move to pass the operating and capital budget and the tax rate might not be known for some time now.
The final 2012 financials are also out and the document shows $1-million in unexpected costs to pave Highway 17 through town.
