Dryden Volunteer Fire Fighters Suspend Operations

The Dryden Volunteer Fire Fighters Association has suspended operations effective immediately.

In a late night press release to area media, the Executive of the Association cites the “wrongful dismissal of three volunteer fire fighters, one a captain of 18-years, and two fire fighters with a combined 46-years of service.”

The Association says the suspension of services was “initiated” by the Fire Chief, Dryden’s Chief Administrative Officer, along with Mayor and Council.”

The organization says that there has been no response from City officials regarding what they call the wrongful dismissals, despite two weeks of requests.

The Volunteer fire fighters stress they have suspended services and have announced they have lost all confidence in Fire Chief Ryan Murrell.

No other details are known at this time.
