From now until the end of August, Drydenites will be restricted in how much water they can use.
City Council has approved restrictions limiting the use of watering lawns along with using sprinklers and garden hoses.
Dryden City Engineer Brad Johns says hot weather has pushed up water usage and that is putting strains on the city water plant.
Residents with even-numbered addresses will be limited in water usage on even-numbered days and so on.
Guidelines will be posted in local newspapers.
