Residents of 10 first nations and 4 communities in the Rainy River District have been enjoying broadband internet service for a few weeks now.
But the official unveiling of the DSL service, offered by Bell Canada, was held today at Red Gut Bay First Nation, east of Fort Frances.
The 2.7 million dollar project is a partnership of Bell, First Nations Advisory Services and Industry Canada.
MP’s Ken Boshcoff and Joe Comuzzi were on hand for the official launch which will provide broadband to homes, businesses and public institutions.
