Duluth SIJHL Franchise Gone

The Superior International Junior Hockey League has lost its second team in one season.
The League has revoked the Duluth Clydesdales franchise.
The Board of Directors made the decision yesterday based on a number of factors, including Duluth not being able to ice enough players on a consistent basis.
The Clydesdales were in the SIJHL for 3 years.
SIJHL President Ron Whitehead says the decision is unfortunate but necessary.
Whitehead says the league will work with the franchise to get them back up and running next season.
Earlier the Sioux Lookout Flyers folded.
Whitehead says the remaining teams will get credited for a default win for all remaining scheduled games against Duluth.
The move leaves the SIJHL with 5-teams.
In the SIJHL tonight, the Minnesota Iron Rangers face the Minnesota Wilderness.
The Dryden Ice Dogs are back on the ice Thursday at home.
