Former Fort Frances native Duncan Keith scored the game winner and named Conn Smythe winner as the Chicago Blackhawks blanked Tampa 2-0 to earn their third Stanley Cup in six years and first at home since 1938..
In a post-game interview with CBC, Keith gave recognition to some of those in Fort Frances who helped in his career.
He says there’s a lot of people who have been instrumental in his development including the Tucker brothers.
Keith was a unanimous choice as the playoffs MVP.
Keith is the just the fourth defenceman in NHL history to log at least 700-minutes of ice time in the playoffs.
