The fate of Eagle River School is now in the parents hands.
At the current rate, the facility will be forced to triple grade next year as enrolment sits at 52 and continues to drop.
Janet Wilkenson, Director of Education with the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board says they can no longer provide additional support to prevent triple-grading from happening.
Wilkenson says they will take another look at the numbers next month.
Board officials say several parents have already inquired about sending their children to neighboring schools in the Fall and she adds that they are willing to work with parents on transportation issues.
Projected enrolment for next year sits at 50.
