Eagles 1-1 at Ofsaa

It was an up and down day for the Dryden Eagles on day one of the Ofsaa high school hockey championships. Dryden fell 3-0 to number 1 ranked Stouffville Tuesday morning but rebounded to win 2-0 over number 8 ranked Eden later on. In game one the Eagles failed to generate much offence managing just 7 shots on net while Stouffville peppered Melissa Calder with nearly 30 shots. In game two the Eagles were back to their old tricks with an unrelenting forecheck scoring two goals and allowing just 7 shots on Calder. Sarah Carter and Kylie Engstrom scored for Dryden. The Eagles will face a win and you’re in 3rd game Wednesday morning as they take on unranked Bishop McDonell who scored a 4-1 win over Eden and a 5-2 loss to Stouffville. Game time is 9:30 a.m. CST and CKDR will have the call beginning at 9:15 a.m.
