Eagles And Broncos Collide On The Gridiron

Expect a lot of turf to be chewed up as the Dryden Eagles travel to Kenora to face the Broncos today in High School Football.
The game features the number 3 and number 4 rushers in the League; Ryan Martel and Dylan Pykerman.
Defensive Coach Neil McLeod says this game will be decided in the trenches.
McLeod says the defensive and offensive line becomes criticial with the cold and wet weather.
Pykerman of the Broncos is averaging 15.9-yards a carry this season, while Dryden’s Martel has 214 yards and 3-touchdowns.
Dryden is 1-1, while Beaver Brae is 0-2.
The Broncos trampled the Eagles in pre-season play, but McLeod notes they have learned from their mistakes.
Kick-off is 3 o’clock.
The Eagles were also greeted by Canadian Olympian Ben Johnson this week at practice.
Johnson took part in warm-up activities and got the team prepared.
McLeod says it was an honour to have the track and field star take part in their activities and stresses the kids learned a lot.
