The 2006 season has come to an end for the Dryden Eagle Girls hockey team.
The Blue and Gold pulled out a gutsy effort however lost to the number 2 ranked South Heron Panthers 4-1 Wednesday morning.
Battling the flu-bug, Dryden finished the round-robin with a 1-2 record, falling just short of a playoff berth.
Darci Everett scored the Eagles lone goal, while Melissa Calder was again sensational in between the pipes.
The Eagles will take some time to tour around the St.Thomas-London area, and will have a team meal with the parents today.
The team will then make the 20-some hour trip back home early Thursday morning.
