Eagles Football Record Could Fall Today Against One Of The Best In Nation

It’s ‘David vs. Goliath’ Friday afternoon but the Dryden Eagles High School Football team is ready to put on the pads and go into battle.

The ‘Blue and Gold’ face the powerhouse Vincent Massey Trojans, the ninth ranked team in all of Canada.

Defensive Coordinator Neil McLeod knows they will have their hands full but notes they have expectations to play their game and do what they can against Vincent Massey.

McLeod says they have set specific goals for today’s game.

He notes the Trojans Quarterback hasn’t thrown an interception all year and they want to change that and even shake him just a bit.

Not only will fans get to see an elite team in action, they could also witness history.

Linebacker Gus Brosseau is one tackle away from setting a new all-time school record.

Brosseau is currently tied with Eagles great Matt Langlais with 191 stops.

McLeod calls both men fantastic players.

This is Seniors Day, where the departing Eagles will be honoured with a quick ceremony before kick-off.

McLeod says he knows everyone will play with pride today.

Game time is 3 o’clock.
